The 50-Word Vignette Challenge

50-Word Vignette #48

Prompt: Fantasy Cafe

My fantasy cafe is a colourful, ramshackle affair, sprawling over several floors of an old mill building. Outside, the song of river and willows and birds. Inside, art for sale and selves of books to borrow while you eat homemade flapjacks to the accompaniment of folk singers in the corner.

(I've actually had more than on dream set in this cafe).

Anybody else like to join in and write their own? Just post it in the comments. All welcome.

he might as well have called it Fantasy Cafe
but Rodolphe Salis called it Le Chat Noir
in a “seedy section” of Paris
swiss guard at the door
a throne
the rowdy artists who met there
cheep beer and wine
laughter and tales told
visit for just a night - fantasy
