The 50-Word Vignette Challenge

50-Word Vignette #48

Prompt: Fantasy Cafe

My fantasy cafe is a colourful, ramshackle affair, sprawling over several floors of an old mill building. Outside, the song of river and willows and birds. Inside, art for sale and selves of books to borrow while you eat homemade flapjacks to the accompaniment of folk singers in the corner.

(I've actually had more than on dream set in this cafe).

Anybody else like to join in and write their own? Just post it in the comments. All welcome.

My mind dizzy with the day’s words, I fall asleep into a dream of my fantasy café.
Oscar removing commas, Ms Parker conjuring, Ernest & Gertrude arguing. Simone & Jean-Paul too (he looks cross.) Byron sulking (it was ever thus) & goodness, Mrs Woolf, stuffing her knickers into her bag!

It's true. They fell down in Oxford Street. She calmly stepped out of them & shoved them in her handbag. Classy.
My cafe is set in France, but it's a fantasy, so I don't care!
